Kalimantan is not a large tourist destination, and therefore not a
place where you can expect to find many tourist facilities trips.
But we are more than happy to assist you to make the preparation on
an itinerary to visit the the traditional untouristic villages of
the Dayak Tribes as well as the untouchable wildlife.
We will use local
transport such as busses, river transportation and your own foot to
explore this province. One of our highlight trips is a visit to
Gunung Palung National Park, the last frontier of the wild
orangutans and other endemic species of Kalimantan. Here's you can
trekking in the dense tropical rain forest for opportunity seeing
the WILD ORANGUTANS and other exotic flora and fauna.
To reach the park, you
should be ready with the off-beaten tracks, challenge the rapids and
stream of the river on motorized boat and having dinner over the
camp fire and sleeping in tents.

DAY 01:
PONTIANAK ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at
Pontianak Airport, transfer to a hotel in the downtown for overnight
(D).
DAY 02:
PONTIANAK - KETAPANG - RANTAU
PANJANG
Fly to Ketapang and prceed by public bus to Rantau Panjang.
Overnight at simple accommodation (B,L,D).
DAY 03:
RANTAU PANJANG - SIMPANG SUNGAI
On motorized wooden boat upriver to Simpang Sungai Camp Site passing
the rapids and the wildlife along the river trip. Overnight in tents
at the river bank at Simpang Sungai Camp Site (B,L,D).
DAY 04:
SIMPANG SUNGAI - GUNUNG PALUNG
NATIONAL PARK
Proceed boating up river and
continue trekking to Gunung Palung National Park. En route you will
experience the rapid adventures and the off-beaten tracks while
enjoying the birds and other wildlife. Overnight in tents at Camp
Site in the park (B,L,D).
DAY 05: GUNUNG
PALUNG NATIONAL PARK EXPLORATION
Today we explore the park on foot
in searching for the wild orangutans, birds, wild orchids and other
flora and fauna. Overnight in tents at Camp Site in the park (B,L,D).
DAY 06: GUNUNG PALUNG
- RANTAU PANJANG - KETAPANG
Directly return to
Rantau Panjang by the motorized boat passing the rapids. Proceed by
public bus to Ketapang. Overnight at a standard hotel (B,L,D).
DAY 07: KETAPANG -
PONTIANAK
Return to Pontianak
using express public boat to Pontianak. Overnight at a hotel in
Pontianak (B,L).
DAY 08:
PONTIANAK DEPARTURE
Breakfast at your
hotel, transfer
to the airport for
your next destination (B).
